VR6 Swapped: 1986 Volkswagen Scirocco
I’m not one to go around telling people what to do with their own hard earned money, but dropping $30k into a VW Scirocco seems a bit mental. However, the end result certainly looks like a capable Rocco that would be a hoot to drive, and the asking price is good. Find this 1986 Volkswagen Scirocco offered for $18,000 in Chatham, NY via craigslist. Tip from Cory.

How much would you pay in cash for a car? There is no way I am handing over $18,000 in cash.
I really like the concept. I wish it didn’t have the cage. Or maybe a cage that was a little more subtle and user friendly.
Never driven a VR6, but hear they are most excellent. Basically a straight six in a compact design that they can turn sideways. Pretty neat.
