Volpe Pollice: 2004 Alfa Romeo Spider Lusso
The Alfa Romeo GTV and Spider we re-launched in 1995 on a modified version of the Fiat tipo due (type 2) platform (also found under the Fiat Brava/Bravo/Marea/Multipla) and borrowed suspension from the Alfa 155. Styling was done by Enrico Fumia at Pininfarina which resulted in a design gorgeous and sexy, but not without questionable elements that remind me of Megan Fox’s thumbs. Find this 2004 Alfa Romeo Spider Lusso offered for $15,999 in Boston, MA via craigslist.
It is very odd to see this generation of Alfa Romeo GTV/Spider on craigslist these cars were never exported to North America. Obviously a few made the transatlantic trip, but if you drive this, don’t expect to see another on the road.
Power comes from a front mounted 3.0 liter 24-valve V6 good for 218 horsepower (although this might also be the 3.2 liter rated at 240 hp since it is a 2004 model year) and 195 ft-lbs of torque. Power goes to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox and is decently brisk in the 6.5 second to 60mph range.

Great cars, great torque from that lovely sounding V6, but good luck registering this and getting it emissions tested…no matter what the current status is/current owner tells you. It could easily end up getting crushed.
Exactly….buy this and you'd better plan on hiding it from the authorities until 2029.
