UK Built Classic: 1959 Ford Prefect

In 1953 Ford introduced a new and significantly redesigned Prefect small people car. It ditched the vintage pontoon fender styling in exchange for a look that was much more modern and mildly restyled in 1959 to last through 1961. These little cars are almost unseen on the roads nowadays, but would make a fun little weekend car for the mechanically inclined person. Seller’s Description
This is a 1959 Ford Prefect 100e, left hand drive. The interior was mostly redone and the engine was tuned and running by Cars Remember When earlier this year. I’m selling because I don’t have time to work on it and need a truck.

This car is the character’s name sake from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and the 4-door version of the flying car from Harry Potter.

The good:
It turns over but hasn’t started in the last month or so.
New parts and clean-ish interior.
Comes with lots of spare parts, front and rear bumper, extra engine block, pistons, trim, and lots more.
Original engine, very loud
Super fun to drive when it does drive
Tires are pretty much new

The bad:
It hasn’t run for a while.
0-60 is about 5 minutes.
Exterior paint is rough.
Tear in the head liner.
You’ll probably have to tow it away
