Turbocharged Cheese Log: 1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4

How many more years will the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 languish at the bottom of the cool car list? These things were absolutely righteous when new and many of their contemporary peers (the Supra, NSX, 911, Jeep Grand Cherokee, et cetera) have become rapidly appreciating classics with high prices and fancy parties…but the 3000GT VR4 just sits forlornly at used car lots like the cheese log at your last party. Everybody knows what it is, but nobody wants it. Find this 1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 offered for $6000 in Sheridan, CA via eBay.

From the seller:
Car relisted due to a no pay buyer! Please don’t be that person. Respect everyones time. Serious buyer only. And because of so many low ball offers that wasted time I have now made price firm!!
.1991 mitsubishi 3000gt twin turbo vr-4 awd, 201,xxx miles, shifts smooth, clean title in my name. Registered as non – op so no fees. Not been daily driver since 2017. Cv joints making noise, boost is good and car pulls hard. Car is not a show car.

Needs paint , has some flaws on interior. Body is nice. Has tien springs, aluminum radiator, manual boost controller, and 20″ rims. Would recommend a good go through on the car to check everything before using as a daily.Sold in used as is condition. Open to trades for local buyers.$500 deposit required immediately.car is for sale locally and reserve the right to end add.

This ad’s pics are better/more detailed than some car ads 20 times this one’s asking price. Props to the seller, but sheez… this thing is an utter disaster. $2500 *at best*……..
Seems like these were dissed badly when new due to FWD. Maybe they never recovered.
Yeah, the base model was a non-turbo front driver, but these VR4 versions were twin-turbo and all-wheel-drive plus only available with a stick (I think…not sure on that last point).
