Turbo V6: 1985 Buick Grand National
This car comes as a tip from Jon who writes: Here is a 1985 Buick Grand National that looks reasonably we preserved for its 30+ years for not-stupid-money. When new, they gave the Corvette a run for it’s money, and briefly, were the quickest US car made, turbo V6 and all. Find this 1985 Buick Grand National offered for $10,900 in Sherman, TX via craigslist.

Had two turbo Buicks in the past – an 86 T-Type and an 87 Grand National. Still one of my favorite rides. The 84-85 Buicks don't have collectability factor as the 86-87 models because they weren't intercooled, plus the turbos were a bit smaller and mounted towards the rear of the engine. The 86-87 models are worth the wait/extra investment.
Napoleon Dynamite voice – "Lucky!"
I have always wanted one, non-t-top. They are out of my price range now. I always thought it would be cool to get a regal and build my own GNX
Agreed! Mine didn't have T-Tops. My 79 Trans-Am, 84 Z-28 and 1993 Nissan 300ZX TT all did have T-Tops and that was ENOUGH for me.
Too bad it's offered by a "rules are for schmucks" seller.
Needs an LS
An LS kinda diminishes the whole point of the GN, now, dont'cha think? Then it would be a "me, too!" LS-conversion, not at all unique.
What about that 1962 Pontiac to the left side in the pic?
I wondered the same thing. If you go to their website, its not horribly priced considering that it does run, is reasonably rust free. Needs paint and interior refresh, but those are getting hard to find.
