Tom Wilkenshaw Racing Kit: 1990 Jaguar XJS
I haven’t made up my mind about this next car…so I’m going to post it and let you guys tell me if it is right on the money or a bridge too far. Anyway, the background behind this car is that back in the 80s the management at Jaguar didn’t want to spend the money to go racing, but a fellow by the name of Tom Wilkenshaw ran a privateer entry into ETCC (European Touring Car Championship) Group A (that’s the big boys) and it was a success. Watch some on-track action here. Regardless, the seller tells us that Jaguar sold some 250 examples of the TWR racing body-kits and only 50 remain…various websites both confirm and refute this suggestion…and to be honest…I dunno. Find this 1990 Jaguar XJS offered for $10,500 in South Florida via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Very Rare 1990 Jaguar XJS V12 with Factory Tom Wilkenshaw Racing (TWR) Body Package and rear spoiler. Less than 250 cars in the US had this and fewer than 50 survive today. 2 owner car that was stored for years after owner passed away. only 56K Miles. Car is completely original and is in great condition. Also very rare are the factory quad tip mufflers which are normally only seen on the Ultra Rare XJRS coupes. Also equipped with factory BBS wheels. New battery and tires were installed after it was taken out of storage.
All new belts and cooling hoses were installed along with new thermostats, caps, coolant, fan and fan clutch. Fuel tank was drained and flushed; new fuel and air filters were installed along with new throttle linkage bushings. Fresh oil and filter change with synthetic. The body has only been washed but not detailed and it still shines nicely. Interior is near flawless and one of the cleanest I have ever seen. All manuals included as well as 2 sets of keys. Also has Original Jaguar Lambs wool seat covers. These simply do not exist anymore. Many new and spare parts included in sale. Forced to sell but great chance for someone to get a very unique car. Serious inquiries only please. No joy rides
See a better way to drive a Jaaaaaaaaaag? tips@dailyturismo.com
I saw one in person at a car show once in BRG and it looked very nice. It did feel like the side should match the bumpers, but its a Jag so expect oddities.
I approve…and it’s literally 5 minutes from me…
I have to see it. I probably should not bring money.

"…featuring improved aerodynamics; uprated suspension and brakes; tuned engine and detail changes…"
Definitely an intersting car. Would be interesting to know what those "tuned engine changes" were.
I’d like a Tom Wilkenshaw Racing Volvo 850 wagon please.
Boy were those a hoot and a half.
Saw it today. Seller presented it honestly.
Nice! Does it have any performance upgrades or is the TWR part completely cosmetic?
Seems all cosmetic. The car is not quick but is fast. The tranny refuses to downshift into first and acceleration. Is. Not. Brisk. That being said, the role of the car does not lend itself to stoplight drag races. This example is well maintained, particularly the interior; the 56k is completely congruous with the condition of the inside. I believe I saw only one wood panel that was cracked but it was not split or flaking at all. The BBS are the business, by the way. Yes, this car is THE perfect ride for living out your best Miami Vice guest star villain fantasies.
I’ll post here if I get it tomorrow.
I wonder how much it'd cost to have it vinyl wrapped to look like this:
