What if I told you that this was the rarest production Saab ever built. Would you believe it? More rare than a 9-3 Viggen? Yeah! What about a 9000 Carlsson. Sure. More rare than the legendary Saab 99 Turbo? You bet. This is one of 673 (or 814 if you include pre-production test mules) Saab 9-4X built at a GM factory in Mexico before Saab went bankrupt in November of 2011. The 9-4X used the Cadillac SRX GM Theta Premium platform with 3.0i V6 or 2.8T V6 turbo powerplants mated to some Aisin 6-speed auto to provide a Saabified Cadillac SUV for a few lucky buyers who stumbled into a Saab dealer in 2011.
