That’s A Lotta Rolls: 1973 Ford Maverick

Tipper Rock On sent in this next car with the note; There is always a lot of talk on DT of high mileage Mercedes-Benz diesels. Check out this Maverick’s mileage! Yes indeed, 469k miles is a boat load for any car, particularly one as basic and underappreciated as the Maverick. Anyway, I’d buy this car just to make it hit that 500k mile mark if I had a commute these days. Find this 1973 Ford Maverick offered for $5000 in Yorba Linda, CA via craigslist.

Yes, you read it correctly! 1973 Ford Maverick 2-door with 469,265 original miles! 302ci engine with 3-speed manual column shift. Engine rebuilt at 402,990 miles. Straight body, and no rust. Runs and drives great.

Purchased off of original owner with original Bill of Sale, build sheet, warranty card, maintenance log book with receipts. This car has been daily driver “time capsule” since new. Nothing missing or tore apart. Seats, carpet and headliner complete and redone and in good shape with minor tear in driver seat. Tires and spare near new.
Needs paint, and engine detail.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a SALVAGE TITLE due to a front end fender bender accident 26 years ago at approximately 280,000 miles. Great car to restore or just leave as-is as a daily driver. Great conversation piece!
