The other day I witnessed a late model Crown Victoria driving down the road that was so low it grounded out on a small bump in the road — something that would have barely been noticed in a stock 65 Buick. And it got me thinking that the modern slammed stance stuff is strange…and then I remembered that there was a time when a modified car would have been jacked up and was probably equally annoying to drive…which takes us to this next beast which is a sweet ode to the stance of the 70s. Find this 1974 Ford Gran Torino Elite offered for $7000 in Thomaston, GA via craigslist. Tip from Jeff.

THE CAR IS STARTED EVERY DAY, TWICE A DAY AND MOVED IN AND OUT OF THE SHOP.

We have owned the car for 5 years…of course at first we drove it all over…then a new project came along, and another….so this one was moved down the resto line…Thought about using it as a donor…but went a different direction… CAN YOU DRIVE IT HOME? The car has been stored, but fires right up, moves and stops fine. I personally never drive an old car home not knowing it…so bring a trailer.

Paint is original and needs attention. Car is not a rust bucket, but does have some bubbles under the original vinyl top. THE VALUE IS IN THE ENGINE AND DRIVE TRAIN.
Interior is in great shape. Upholstery is really nice and sits like an easy chair.
It’s a time capsule…like all old cars.
