I wasn’t the best artist when I was a three year old paste-eater, but I did enjoy scribbling my car designs on the back of restaurant kid’s menus in the artistic medium of crayola and drool. I didn’t know where those drawings ended up, but apparently my Mom must have mailed them to Volkswagen because […]
The T4 generation of Volkswagen’s infamous Transporter was sold in the USA from 1990 through 2003 as the “Eurovan”. For whatever reason, the same barbaric price increases that have plagued the market for the OG rear-engine Transporter has also hit the late model Eurovan market and the perky little cheap vans have now become stupidly expensive little cheap vans. Today’s next example is priced like it is 1999, and it probably has something to do with the mountain of bondo used to fix the driver’s side as it appears otherwise ready to give you the urban hipster street cred you’ve been looking for to go with your ironic moustache and sandal tan. Find this 1993 Volkswagen Eurovan offered for $4000 in Aptos, CA via craigslist.
What we knew here in the States as the Volkswagen EuroVan was technically the 4th generation of the Transporter / Type 2 / Bus / Kombi / etc, but was the first of the classic bread loaf VWs to have its engine and drive wheels up front, finally ditching the rear/rear setup of old. In […]
Take a look at this 1990 Volkswagen Transporter Type 2 (T3) Syncro Single Cab bidding here on eBay for $4,249 with auction ending on Thursday, located in Avenel, NJ.
The Volkswagen Type 2 was revamped in the 1980 model year and became what is known as the T3, or Vanagon for the US Market. Today’s example started life as a European born Transporter and spent some time as an army vehicle for the German military. Thankfully, Germany didn’t try to conquer the known world […]
Since we were on the subject of motorhomes, I figured I’d post another…wait…what’s that…you didn’t want to chat about motorhomes…oh…sorry. The O309D Mercedes-Benz truck was the precursor to today’s Sprinter van, and uses Mercedes sedan engines to push its plus sized chassis slowly around town. Find this 1967 Mercedes-Benz O309D L406D Dusseldorf T2 Transporter Series […]
If you need a large passenger bus to fit your Duggar lifestyle (or if you are starting a band, church, cult, etc), you might be tempted to pickup something used from the private shuttle bus market, used school bus, or ex-public transport, but you’d be wrong. The thing you actually need is a used prison […]
Ever see a car that is oddly well executed, despite how badly it could’ve turned out given its mission statement? This next feature could be described at the world’s largest crew cab pickup or a shorty bus with a bed…whatever you call it, it came out really well given the humble beginning as a crushed […]
