The Jaguar S-Type was a Geoff Lawsom (known for Vauxhall in the 70s/80s, and then Jaguar XJ220, XJ, XK, X-type, S-Type in the 90s) introduced in 1999 as a mid level executive offering in the Ford owned era of Jaguar’s non-independent epoch. The S-Type rode on the Ford DEW98 platform that was shared with the Lincoln LS and it wasn’t a bad car…but it wasn’t a great car either, hence the fact that in 15 years this next one has lost about $60k in value due to depreciation.
