This next car comes as a tip from SecondMouse who writes: This is about as cheap as it gets for a sixties era two door big block muscle car. This 1967 Ford Galaxie 390 runs and drives, and may just be the rat rod starting point you are looking for, with seller asking $4000. Find this […]
Nothing puts a smile on the face of strangers like a classic muscle car cruising down the street and nothing pisses them off like doing obnoxious burnouts on their street. This next car is certainly built for the former, but could do the latter if you were so inclined…just don’t do it in my neighborhood. […]
I’m getting ready for the 4th of July and trying to get into the spirit of things , so I jumped when I saw a 2-door muscle car from tipper FuelTruck offered for a fabulous asking price. The classic V8 American muscle convertible has been a sought after and collected commodity for years, and it should surprise exactly no-one that prices tend to be high. You could pay top dollar from the guy on eBay who only buys his cars from full-figured young ladies (who are always happy to pose with their […]
Big blocks stuck inside of small cars are the stuff of automotive legend. We can’t forget, however, that these same engines could be found in slightly porkier models, as well. And while the lightweight coupes and ponies we call muscle cars were fast, most can be bested by your neighbor’s Maxima in every performance measure. […]
One of the schools of thought for buying a classic car says that you should always buy the biggest car you can get for the least amount of money…which is great if you run a scrap yard or a recycling plant, but maybe not the best idea if you actually want to enjoy driving your […]
The 3rd generation Ford Galaxie was introduced in 1965 as a taller and larger full-sized Ford family sedan with the 500 LTD as top-of-the-line version. These were big brutish cars that were terrible to drive with the Thriftpower-6, but would come alive if you picked the big block V8 on the option list. It was […]
