When did classic cars get so stinkin expensive? One day you can get an ’80s Bronco for a few hundred bucks, and now people are treating them like they are the next Ferrari 365GTB. And it isn’t just Broncos, it is a serious epidemic of classic car price appreciation. Personally, I blame the internet. Prior to the birth of the world’s central nervous system, if you wanted to drive an old car you had to have some serious investment into that car — either cash to pay someone to fix/maintain it, or the tools/books/know-how to do it yourself. Today, you just need an internet connection and to watch some youtube videos and a few hours later you are bidding on an overpriced Bronco. Uggg. At least there are a few old makes/marques that are still affordable, but it is only a matter of time before this also spreads on the inter…wait…I think I might be part of the problem.
