T-Topped: 1996 Buick Roadmaster

In 1994 the Buick Roadmaster got a massive engine upgrade when it ditched the old L03/L05 V8 and replaced it with an LT1 V8 that had more horsepower, more torque, and better fuel economy. It shared the LT1 with the Corvette, which was always available with some kind of T-top or removable roof option, so this next car makes some kinda sense, in a twisted chassis kinda way. Find this 1996 Buick Roadmaster offered for $3850 in Chicopee, MA via craigslist. Tip from Cory.

I had to stare at that first photo for quite a while (dim screen, no glasses) before it finally made sense. 236 is a lot of thousands for a not-a-diesel-Mercedes. .
Answering the question of how to make a 1996 Roadmaster with 236k miles even more undesirable. Thanks seller.
Love the angle of the driver’s seat. The possibilities for jokes are endless…
First time riding in this era car was a taxi in 1998, a 91 Impala. It ran well, no smoke but an axle bearing whine. I looked over to see the odometer- 500,000+ miles! I asked what repairs it had and besides brakes and suspension, 3 transmissions. It was a taxi from new. I later had a 1995 Roadmaster that I drove it about 100,000 miles and gave it to my daughter with 220,000 miles and running perfect. Tough cars.
I suppose “padded removable top almost complete†means that they have completed the removal with a sawzall part but not the reattaching part?
I mean, with the right tools, aren’t all roofs removable?
Then there’s that pesky issue about windows. Side curtains?
It’s the little-known Roadmaster Targa! Buried at the bottom of the options list, way below “Corvette motor” and “Glove Leather.”
He was all in on the Targa until someone mentioned the need for B pillars.
