The Jaguar S-Type was a Geoff Lawsom (known for Vauxhall in the 70s/80s, and then Jaguar XJ220, XJ, XK, X-type, S-Type in the 90s) introduced in 1999 as a mid level executive offering in the Ford owned era of Jaguar’s non-independent epoch. The S-Type rode on the Ford DEW98 platform that was shared with the Lincoln LS and it wasn’t a bad car…but it wasn’t a great car either, hence the fact that in 15 years this next one has lost about $60k in value due to depreciation. But with a 400 horsepower supercharged V8, this could be fun for $3500 until something expensive breaks. Find this 2004 Jaguar S-Type R offered for $3,500 in Lockhart, TX via craigslist.

2004 jaguar s-type R supercharged
title status: clean
I’m selling a very nice, rare, collectible 2004 jaguar s-type R 4.2 v8 supercharged beast of a car. 1 of a lil over 8,000 made in this particular year and model. She has a lot of horse power, like 400 to be exact. I love this car and really hate to watch it go but I need a new truck for work so I have no choice but to let her go. She drives and handles like a dream. Over all a very fun car to drive. Only negative is the AC is not working right now but it’s a easy fix just haven’t had time to fix it. All the windows and the sunroof work and with the weather change shouldn’t need AC till next summer. It has 145 k miles which is still pretty low for the year model. Has clean title ready to be transferred. CD player and CD changer also work. Everything in the car works except for the AC. She is very fast, 0-60 in about 5 seconds. So if you’re looking for collectible, nice car it really doesn’t get any better. In it’s prime in 2004 the car went for $62,000. I’m taking $3,500 firm, no haggling, cash only. The motor is worth $1500 used by its self with out the supercharger or the transmission so no low baller’s. I’m as low as I’m going to go. I dropped the price from $5,000 cause it needs the supercharger coupler changed out. It’s not anything that keeps it from driving, just has a lil ticking noise. I bought and have the part to fix it. Parts go with the car. Get it while it’s cheap cause if I fix it the price is going back up cause I won’t care if it sells or not cause it’s fun to drive, lol. Serious inquiries only.
