Sunny Day Saver: 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio
It seems like only yesterday when Volkswagen Cabrios seemed to clog SoCal freeways with their tops down and in the sun. A few decades later, and I have to wonder where they went? Probably to the crusher by the thousands, but the few that remain are pretty beaten up, so it is nice to find one that looks in great shape (despite the slushbox). And for all of you vintage Mk3 enthusiasts — the Mk4 Cabrio was built on the Mk3 platform, but had some Mk4-looking bumpers and such. Find this 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio offered for $4500 in Chantilly, DC via craigslist. Tip from John.

Nice, clean convertible and running very well.
Rare find car. Get the top down and enjoy the spring breeze.
Selling it because of lack of parking space.

I know another one exactly like this–same condition, gen, color, leather, slush–that will be listed on here all too soon, sadly. Disappointed it’s only worth that little. Super nice car, fun to drive, annoyingly expensive to fix.
What’s the other one’s location?
Not far from Annandale. ~$2600 to ship cross-country, someone told me recently, but I’d bet you’d come up with an alternate method.
