Sub 8K Miles: 1985 Volkswagen Cabriolet

This next car comes as a tip from Dave in Tampa who writes: This has got to be a mistake, right? A broken odometer maybe? A broken or disconnected odometer isn’t out of the question. This bunny looks super clean but a few things don’t add up. “All original” except it has had a GTI motor swap? Maybe the miles are since the swap? “All original” except the wheels aren’t correct for the model or year. “All original” except for what seems like a high quality respray in red. The engine bay is clearly green and likely this car was originally Papyras Green Metallic, which was somewhat rare. This could be a great car, but don’t believe everything you read.
