St. Valentine’s Day Special: 2000 Porsche 911
Saint Valentine’s Day is the feast day in celebration of an early Christian martyr that has become a day for lovers to give each other cheap junk…BUT I think that instead of giving bad poetry, lovers should give cool cars…like this 2000 Porsche 911 here on eBay bidding for $10,600 with 4 days to go, located in Utica, NY.
The 996 was a 911 that was faster, more comfortable, and better than the
previous generation, but of course the purists and naysayers complained
about the changes, chief among them, the change from aircooled to watercooled power.
Behind the vestigial rear seats is a 3.4 liter flat-6 that pushes 296 horsepower into the rear wheels via a slick 6-speed manual transaxle. Thankfully, the 996 is a refined beauty that won’t snap-oversteer into a ditch or fail to start on a cold day.

I hope I don't get flamed for this but the salvage title story seems a bit underdone. I bet here is more to it than that.
The most important part of this ad is missing. WHEN was the ims bearing done?
Second most important question is how much antifreeze is in the oil?
Free shipping outweighs all the other questions like why is the CA plate so recent and its now in NY with a CT salvage title. There are a lot of red flags here. Though I would probably roll the dice at $7500.
Wait. It was TOO CLOSE to a burning somethingorother?
And the insurance guys (we all know how loosey goosey they are) just TOTALED this car?
For no reason, other than it was too close to the heat?
But nothing is wrong with the car?
Kudos to you guys for finding such an interesting story.
Too close to the heat.. but the seller won't say WHAT the heat was…Hmm…
Let's call it "THE CAR (that escaped) FROM HELL"…
Or not.
Eiher way, too hot to handle for me.
