Space Rat: 1960 Chevrolet C10 Hot Rod
This must be the most American thing ever featured on these pages. First, just look at it. Chevy 350 small block, two turbochargers, automatic, covered in the stars/stripes — and critically, it is unfinished, like our wars in Iraq, Afghanistan…Vietnam, you name it. Despite how unfinished it might be, it leaves a path of destruction as wide as a football field and as sweet as apple pie. Find this 1960 Chevrolet C10 Hot Rod thing offered for $8,500 in Brunswick, OH via craigslist.
I just don’t know where to begin…mostly because I don’t know where the builder started this thing either. The name C-10 is tossed around, so let’s assume that before it had an 8-ball mounted on a pool cue for a shifter, it was a Chevy C-10 pickup.
Up front is an all-you-can-eat buffet of 350 small block V8 that is forcefed via two turbochargers and painted red white and blue. These colors don’t run…unless it gets up to temperature which will be interesting in the current configuration.
The seller does a nice walk around video on the youtube, which is only upstaged in Americana by his video of a dog chewing on a bone.
See another car that needs a bald eagle painted on the side? tips@dailyturismo.com
Man, I would love to see the picture that this guy had in his head…..
He couldn't have said less in the video if he had tried. Thanks for the details, buddy. Way to show excitement for what you've built.
Most Craigslistiest line "The video was taked before the car was done"
(Drops mic on foot)
Is this from a Frankie Avalon Beach Blanket Bingo Movie…..SHUCKS A MILLION…
In reference to the C10… I think the cab of this abomination sort of looks like it could have once been the bed of a '60 C10??? The rear end has definitely been created using the front fenders from something, but not the same '60 truck. Maybe the were once the front fenders of whatever those round tail lights came off, which look decidedly Ford… The windshield is the back window of something – a Beetle, maybe? The rear gridwork covering the fuel tank looks like it probably made up one side of a cage belonging to that dog at some point in time. In the YouTube video it had the front end of a Willys on it, but I guess the owner decided that was just tacky.
In the Craigslist ad he calls it Kingdragrace, which sounds a lot like King Disgrace.
I hope you are wrong about the windshield, since rear windows are not laminated.

But them maybe that is not the number one safety issue with this build….
Mag or two Maybe looney Tunes..People….
Nothing honors the old Stars and Stripes like using it as a seat cover.
