Slower, Harder, Less Seductive: 1951 Ford Custom
I’ve had a number of conversations with people about new cars…recently. The conversation always revolves around reliability, ease of use, and Apple CarPlay. But I am reminded of Yoda’s advice to a young Skywalker who asks him if the Dark Side is stronger…to which the little green freak replies; “No, no, no. Quicker, easier, more seductive.” And that’s sums up what I feel about new cars…they aren’t better than old cars, just quicker, easier, and more seductive. Find this 1951 Ford Custom offered for $2800 in Cape Coral, FL via craigslist. Tip from Dascpcu.

Well, there's that Radiohead song, which is what I thought you were talking about, which is a hard thing to admit considering how many times I've watched the Yoda movie, whatever it's called.

beautiful dream abandoned! 🙁 Gorgeous looking car but I am a Ford man and it is against my religion to put a Chevy engine into a nice Ford.
True confessions: Since becoming a dad (13 years ago this week), my taste for cars and motorized vehicular transport in general has changed.
Now, I look for something perhaps a bit more crash-worthy. Not something I considered in my younger days.

I second that, and right there with you Papastan (14 years, 6 weeks from now). He bought me a Lamborghini yesterday, so he's got that going for him.
