Sinatra Style: 1948 Packard Super 8 Limo

Roughly the size of a city bus and twice as dignified, this 1948 Packard Super Eight Limousine is the kind of factory-built formal cruiser that once ferried VIPs, wedding parties, or possibly low-level mobsters. With a 141-inch wheelbase, rear jump seats, and a functioning divider window, it’s the sort of car you’d expect to see idling outside a supper club while Sinatra lit a cigarette. Power comes from a straight-eight mated to a 3-speed column shift and a 6-volt electrical system—because 12 volts is for quitters. Seller’s description
Packard Super 8 Limousine with divider window, jump seats. 3 speed on the column. 6V system. 141″ wheelbase. Factory limousine. Original.
Has rust. The trunk needs repair and I have the replacement panels. The front floor has been repaired using fiberglass, I hear that fiberglass is a good repair for rust. So this needs work.
