Seller Submission: 1997 BMW 328i Convertible
The E36 generation BMW was sold for the 1992 through 1999 model years as BMW’s compact luxury sedan offering in North America. It was heavier than the E30 it replaced, but the E36’s new multi-link rear end was far superior to the semi-trailing arm setup of the E30 — and power was up in the variety of inline-4 and inline-6 engines. Find this 1997 BMW 328i Convertible offered for $3,500 in Suwanee, GA via craigslist. Seller submission from Matt.
The E36 may have been the daily driver of choice for many yuppies around the world when new, but prices are now at rock bottom, making them the choice for college students, bargain seekers, and BMW fanboys on a budget.
The 328i version of the E36 was produced from 1995 through 1998 as the model just below the M3, and it was powered by a 2.8 liter M52B28 inline-6 that puts out 190 horsepower and 210 ft-lbs of torque. In this one it is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox that makes for a lively driving experience.

This model of the BMW is not one of my favourites to be honest. I mean obviously in comparison to the curves and luxury you get in the models these days, this car totally would not be recognizable as something from the elite brand save for the badge on the hood of the car!
