I really don’t know what to say about this car. On the plus side, it IS a small bumper E30 BMW with a manual gearbox…but there’s the little thing about the wheels or lackthereof…or…the use of firewood as a makeshift version of used kitchen stoves. The best part of the firewood floor stand system is you can see the evolution — first the blocks went under the suspension parts and Noah decided that wasn’t good enough, so he put the blocks under the frame and it still wiggled around like a Trump fixer under oath and finally the outrigger flying buttress pieces were installed. Job done. Just, please no smoking near it. Find this 1991 BMW 318i offered for $1100 CAD ($835USD) in Richmond, B.C., Canada via craigslist. Tip from Erik202.

On the plus side, the weeds have to grow that much taller before they can brush up against the undercarriage and make it rust faster.

Thanks to DT for a thorough engineering analysis of this storage method. I had not yet worked out the likely purpose of the outriggers. But on to the car: this thing does not look rusty. Up here in Canada, any interesting car that is not rusted is considered a prime candidate to be saved. As I recall, this model had a pretty good reputation for being well built, and easy to repair. If this was closer, I certainly would take a look. For me, this would be a 5,000 km tow to get it home. On the other hand, lumber prices are up, so I could offset the gas costs…..

Ok…somebody at DT needs to speak with this obviously 'different' seller. Where are the wheels? How can it be towed without same? What is wrong that it wont drive but it runs? Maybe the wood came from the enclosed porch they are either building or tearing down in the background? In any event this is surely worth of some further investigation. If nothing else to speal to a real Viking.
