Rad Flareside Manual: 1992 Ford F150 Nite

In 1992 you could get a number of different configurations of the ninth generation Ford F150, but today’s version is something interesting that I’d never seen before. Basic spec of a ’92 F150 started with Custom, but you could upgrade to the XL, or the XLT, or the Nite version you see here. The Nite trim started with all black exterior with a pink/purple stripe and some sweet 90s colored “Nite” decales, but added a cloth covered “flight” bench (although this one has some kind of pleather), sliding rear window, and deep dish aluminum allow wheels. Today’s Nite is also equipped with the funky looking flareside bed, and a manual gearbox behind a V8. Not bad. Find this 1992 Ford F150 Nite offered for $13,995 in Fremont, CA via craigslist.

Do some research about the “nite edition†Ford F-150. This is a rare truck and will be good for someone who knows what this is. This truck was only offered with this package for 2 years. It has ONLY 75,000 MILES! Clean CARFAX and no accident history.

Cool, but pricey. The owner is banking on the “go find another†approach eventually working with that ask.
An old F150 is probably a good bang for the buck in a classic, if you consider it one. I’m not sure I do, but I still like it.
Used to work as a professional car stereo installer in college and someone brought me one of these brand new to upgrade the stereo in. I put some MB Quart components in the kick panels and a pair of 6.5″ SAS Bazooka tubes behind the seat running off a Pioneer premier head unit that had an EQ and X-over in it to a 4-channel PPI amp running in 3-channel mode with the rear two channels bridged to mono for the subs. It sounded AMAZING, the guy was soo happy he listed to my recommendations. I’ll always remember that fondly. 🙂
