Properly Equipped: 1985 Porsche 928S Euro

The American spec Porsche 928 wasn’t a bad piece of metal back in the mid 80s — trust me, I owned a 1984 edition of the famed V8 Porsche — but those stingy Germans saved the best version for themselves and shipped a low compression, single cam versions to the USA. However, this next one immigrated as an adult and kept the good engine with over 300 horsepower and a cat-less meaty sound. Find this 1985 Porsche 928S Euro offered for $14000 in Long Island, NY via craigslist. From Cory.

From the seller:

Std. 5 speed 8cyl EURO MODEL, 111k I do not know of any cars like mine in the US in black, Imported, Euro and Std. ….Your gain, my huge loss. Strong V8 engine and drive train. Excellent body German lighted up Dash lights. This car was imported. I am the 2nd owner and have owned it for over 25 years. Only garage kept. In excellent condition. Engine was always maintained and runs perfectly. This car just had a a clutch fork replaced, a radiator and a thermostadt installed and all the belts (including timing) changed 2 years ago, fuel filter, air filter, all light bulbs updated, new front Porsche Brakes. All new tires 1 year ago, including new brakes. No leaks. I have a clean title, the car is insured and registered and I drive it once a week, weather pending. Triple Black, Racing Steering Wheel, Clean black leather interior, non smoker and the engine sounds amazing….

DOES NOT SOUND LIKE THE AMERICAN Porsches because it is not one! If you are a collector, you know the V8 is a collectable for the Porsche. I’m not a fan of Craigslist due to the “People with no lives” sending nasty remarks and comments, so please serious inqs. only that know this car and understand the quality and value that is going up! This car is for the educated Porsche buyer. I will take any realistic offer at this time I need the garage space. This is a beautiful car inside and out and you will be heard and noticed wherever you go and be sure to get pulled aside to answer questions when pulling up to a gas station. Car looks and drives great.

NO TIRE KICKERS. DROPPED MY PRICE. NEED TO MOVE.
