Poor Man’s Skyline Wagon: 1996 Nissan Avenir Salut

I’ve never seen a Nissan Avenir before and to be honest, I don’t think I knew they existed. It is a JDM only piece of Nissan history that is based on the 2nd generation Nissan Prairie platform. Today’s Avenir Salut is powered by an SR20DET which puts that power to all four wheels. This is the poor man’s Skyline you never knew existed, but you need. Find this 1996 Nissan Avenir Salut offered for $13,888 in Seattle, WA via craigslist. Tip from JB1025.

Great little wagon, but who wants to drive a right-hand drive wagon in North America with metric instruments in todays traffic?
In SoCal, you just drive as fast as the next guy stuck in traffic…so gauges, we don’t need no stinkin gauges. The only real problem with wrong hand drive is drivethru, so you head to inn-wait or chick-fil-ate where they have people with ipads and headsets who take your order in the 100 mile long line and they can step to the other side. But I’m guessing I’d curb those wheels once a week on left turns.
It’s an Nissan A6 Avant!
