Peak SBC: 1977 Porsche 924 Pro Street
The term “peak” is tossed around often, when people say we’ve reached “peak oil” or “peak hipster” — but the truth is that we’re never really certain until the fad (or whatever) has dropped to see if we’ve really reached a peak. So, I ask you, have we reached peak small block Chevy? Find this 1977 Porsche 924 Pro Street offered for $14,000 in St Joseph, KS via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!
From the seller:
For sale or trade is a 1977 Porsche 924 pro street! It has a refreshed 350SBC with a 3 speed.
Tons of extras on this car, built about 7 years ago, freshened earlier this year. Fully redone interior with roll cage and fuel cell. Vinyl seats with 4 point harness belts. Hurst shifter, electric fuel pump, aluminum radiator, Newer 33″ Mickey Thompson tires on rear, dual exhaust, new rear suspension, alloy racing wheels, parachute, etc. Car is in very nice shape, one small crack in the cowl. Interior is flawless. Engine runs like a top

Me likey.
-Stan (who saw the first 944 in the US, way back in 1983, when it was parked out front of my apt building in Ann Arbor, fresh from EPA testing, and handing off to Car and Driver for their first road test. Oh, and I owned one for years. Loved my red Porch. Even if it did use water instead of air to cool its jets… )
…my bad. It was 1982, when I lived on East Ann.

Interesting Ad advertised as a 1974 and gently modified for better handling. I would like to borrow it for a few laps around Laguna Seca Raceway. I have a non-modified '88 924S SE lacking most amenities except great handling but I love it. I can't see any reason why I would want to own this one, none at all!
Yours sounds like more fun and like it is actually made to turn a corner.
