Original Owned: 1996 Nissan 240SX S14

It seems that every day another example of the S14 generation Nissan 240SX is being turned into an LS1 powered drift machine, so finding an original owner example being offered for a reasonable price is certainly a reason to celebrate.  Find this 1996 Nissan 240SX here on eBay offered for $3,750 buy-it-now or make-offer located in New Port Richey, FL.

The S14 generation Nissan Silvia was sold as the 240SX in the US market, where it was powered by a version of Nissans K-series 4-banger and offered a budget 300Z experience.  It might not have been as fast as the Z, but it had every bit the same amount of rear-drive attitude and was probably more reliable.

Powering the S14 is a 2.4 liter KA24DE inline-4 that made 155 horsepower and 160 ft-lbs of torque from its DOHC 16-valve setup.  And this isn’t one of those Mexican built KA24DEs that were put in the Xterra or Frontier Pickup, the 240SX engines were built in the Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.

On the inside you get a car with a granny steering wheel cover, a slushbox shifter, and an impressive collection of flotsam on the key ring that would equal instant and permanent death in a Chevy Cobalt.
