Odin’s Odiferous Oddball: 1961 Volvo PV445 Duett

One of the questions that has always perplexed philosophers throughout the ages is an old one: If I tree fell on a rusting Duett in the forest, would any DT readers be injured? Because what we’ve got here is cheap Volvo 445 that looks like it might cost you less than the tetanus vaccine needed to tow it home. Uber may have lifted their mask mandate, but you are going to want a mask to avoid the “odiferous” smell inside this rusting tin can. We’ve had this 1961Volvo 445 duett for over 40 years. Though the B16 engine had been rebuilt just before it was acquired it never became a car that we drove. It was garage kept for around 10 years but has been sitting out in a field for about 30 years. The engine does not turn over. There is rust everywhere. Animals have lived in it and it is as odiferous as one would expect. The front passenger seat is missing. The passenger door is not functional. The windows are all there. A tree fell on the front hood. The photographs show what happened. Volvo serial number 7765 Parts car! $200.00 or best offer.
