Nice Viccup: 1958 Ford F-100

The concept of a viccup is simple. You start with an old Ford F-Series pickup and then you drop the entire body onto a late model Ford Crown Victoria (preferably ex-Police P71 interceptor) frame and go to town. You get the looks of a vintage pickup with the driving comfort of a late model Crown Vic. I’ve driven an example of the viccup and it was worth every minute of the work my friends put into it. Today’s viccup is expensive, but could be worth it if well sorted. Find this 1958 Ford F-100 offered for $18,500 in Beavercreek, OH via craigslist.

Ex U-Haul?
That front bumper looks interesting
Possible ex-U-Haul, though the interior green could be original, in which case it’s probably not a U-Haul.
Front bumper looks like a spliced rear bumper from something else.
I love rat rod trucks (used to own one) and I don’t mind the Vic conversion, but for some reason, this truck doesn’t do it for me. And definitely not at that price.

The bed doesn’t match the patina of the cab, front fenders and hood. If the colors were consistent it would look a lot better IMO…
This truck does it for me. Old mismatched craptruck capable of cruising at 90mph in air conditioned comfort – with the addition of loads of Dynamat and good weatherstripping – sounds like an excellent combination.
