Needs Engine: 2000 Chevrolet Corvette C5

What do you do with a super cheap C5 Corvette convertible that needs an engine and transmission? Cummins 6BT swap? Put in a jet engine? It is obvious that this vehicle donated its engine/transmission to some old Ford hot rod, so maybe the right thing to do is to swap in a flathead Ford V8. Just please, no electric conversions, except if you do a wind powered setup, then I’m in. Find this 2000 Chevrolet Corvette C5 offered for $2500 in Victorville, CA via rollerbook swapmarket.

i vote for installing an early 1900s stationary agricultural engine- Hit and miss- flywheel thing. this engine could power the vette at walking speed or so.
then use it to transport the local dignitaries in rural county parades. already has the open cabin for dairy princesses easily to sit on the rear deck.
Or… Yoked oxen. Pushed by grannies. A sail. Literally rodents. The gradual downhill parade.
Maybe cut the floor boards out and use the Flintstone method.
Jeebus Chris, I came here to say the same dang thing.
This thing is crying out to be Flintstonized. Lighten the load by another 1000 lbs by taking out unnecesary extras like brakes, electrical, hoses, window glass… I bet you could get this thing down to 500 lbs, max.
Goodonya, Chris.

I vote someone pays him fifty bucks for it, fills it with manure and makes it a planter.
Judging by the detritus in the fella’s yard, not hard to understand how his drivetrain went missing
