Mosaic Manual: 1993 Toyota Corolla Station Wagon

This next car isn’t for the faint of heart. It features a garish paint job that will get you more attention than you might want. It does, however, have a 4-speed manual gearbox, and at least 3 of the gears function. Not bad for less than $2500. Find this 1993 Toyota Corolla Station Wagon offered for $2400 in Oakland, CA via craigslist. Tip from Matt V.

Single Original Owner. This has been an amazingly reliable classic station wagon. They dont make station wagons like this anymore!!
Totally maintained for its entire life, sad to part with this old friend. Its painted as an ‘art car’ now representing Debbies Mural Business. Unusual and spectacular.
Engine: Perfectly running, as always. Has always burned some oil, but otherwise sounds as sweet as ever. Oil changed regularly for life of car. Excellent gas mileage (30-37mpg)
AC: AC no longer working.
Transmission: Manual, 4th gear is slipping. No clutch problem currently, but may need one in near future. Repair the trans/clutch and you have a station wagon in GREAT shape!
Radio/CD Player: Excellent Sony/CD/Aux, great sound into 4 stock speakers
Interior: needs a good cleaning, but, everything in excellent condition, every handle and all interior in great shape and working. Some locks have been replaced with new working locks.

I’m fine with art cars,

I worship at the alter of the stationwagon, but how does a manual transmission slip in 4th gear?
Oh wait, oil is leaking from the rear crank seal into the clutch, which slips more noticeably in forth. Been there done that too.
It’s from all those legendary, fourth gear, drag strip burnouts these Corollas are known for.

Think of the potential collision being gone before you get there.
So slow it appeared in the wrong posting.
Finally, an art car where they seem to have been going for artistic merit instead of attacking it with a hot glue gun and a bunch of random junk.
