More Cylinders Than Doors: 1964 Chevrolet C-10 Suburban

The appeal of a vintage truck is never underestimated, but then your rational side kicks in and you realize you don’t have anywhere to put the kids or secure your cargo. That’s when you remember that you could also get the truck with a large cover in a configuration known as the Suburban. It combined all off the rugged hauling junk aspects of a truck with the ability to carry additional people without worrying that they will fly out if you hit a speed bump at speed…and with an LS1 V8 under the hood, you’ll be able to hit some significant speeds with this next thing. Find this 1964 Chevrolet C-10 Suburban bidding for $13,100 in Morganville, NJ via ebay with 3 days to go.

From the seller:
Selling a fun LS swapped 1964 Chevy C10 Suburban Truck. It starts right up idles great, shifts smooth and stops on a dime. The LS1 engine was professionally installed along with 4L60e automatic transmission and a Lokar shifter. At the time of the swap the engine and trans was properly gone through to make sure everything works 100%. A new aluminum radiator was added to keep it cool even on the hottest summer days. New fuel tank, and fuel pump was also installed. New dual exhaust was installed and it sounds amazing. Front brakes were upgraded to power disc brakes and rear brakes got all new hardware, new shoes, along with new lines front and back. New EZ wiring harness and digital gauges were also installed. All lights, turn signals, wipers work as they should. New steering wheel with a tilt column was installed as well to make it easier to get in and out of the truck. The front seat was re upholstered in black and looks great. Aftermarket radio was added as well to make the drive more enjoyable.

Most of the front floor and both rockers were replaced, front doors are nice and solid, especially the bottoms. Inside top of the windshield is nice and solid as you can see in pics. The metal around back windows is in good shape. Both back windows slide open. Exterior drip rails are in great shape too. It’s got some rust here n there but for the most part its very nice and solid. A lot of work was put into this truck to make it the way it is now. Just recently installed 4 brand new tires. The back floor was updated and it looks very nice and clean. Both back doors lock nice and tight. This is a very cool and unique truck. You barely see any driving around. It gets plenty of attention when driving it around town and always draws crowds where ever it goes. Keep it as is and cruise around or take it to the next level. Needs nothing but a driver. I’m sure that I am forgetting other things that were done or replace on the truck but, you get the idea. Overall this is a cool, one of a kind Suburban. it runs great, sounds great, drives great and looks bad a*s. The truck is sold as is where is and a $500 non refundable deposit is due once sold. I have the right to cancel the auction at anytime if a deal is made. Message me with any questions or to set up a time to come see it. Asking $17,500 or best offer.

Digital gauges are a serious anachronism. Why stop there? At single-digit mpg, it’s no long-distance vehicle. Good candidate for electric motors instead of the LS swap.
