Saw this at the Kruse auction in OKC a couple of years back. It's a freak show alright! The ultra-short driveshaft is pretty interesting.
1-ton with that short of a wheelbase must make for a smooth ride. 😀 Kinda cool tho.
Why?
SImple. Guy REALLY wanted an 80s Bronco.
But he's into Bow Ties, not Blue Ovals.
Genetics.

I can't understand the reasoning for the rear end swap but Tony has it right about the rear wheels and lowering. That would have to help with the ride quality.
This looks like an ideal truck for use as a tow vehicle for a 5-th wheel RV trailer? with minor modifications?
The dually rear axle is narrowed, and the distance between the wheelwells is very small, so there is no way at all to mount any kind of bed hitch in this vehicle. Never gonna happen. I've seen this one in person a couple years back. It is an interesting truck, but nothing more than a toy, IMO.
get along little dogies!

1) Replace the duallies with drag slicks
2) Significantly lower ride height
3) Stand back and smile
