Manual Transmission How? 2006 Mercury Milan Premier

Today’s next feature is a first-year Mercury Milan, Ford’s slightly dressier Mercury-badged sibling to the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ/Zephyr. Power comes from a Mazda derived 2.3 liter four cylinder mated to the front wheels, but the interesting part is the 5-speed manual. Most Milans were automatic commuter sedans, so a manual Mercury Milan is genuinely uncommon in the wild. Seller’s description
Ever seen another 5 speed Mercury Milan? Neither had I until this one. This beast was my daily driver while I was looking for something more fun. I drove down to Georgia to buy it last winter, runs and drives excellent and is a great highway cruiser that you can row your own gears in. Only 58k miles on the bulletproof Mazda drivetrain and absolutely no rust thanks to its southern history
New within the last 2 years:

  • brakes all around
  • clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder
  • engine mounts
  • valve cover gaskets
  • serpentine belt and tensioner
  • thermostat
  • rear window regulators
  • battery
Additionally the clutch was completely replaced March of 2012 at 26,151 miles
It’s not perfect It has a couple of dings, paint chips, and the drivers seat is a little worn. However it is mechanically excellent, has no rust, and has very low miles.
Clean Indiana title in my name, Carfax available to interested buyers only. Any questions or offers don’t hesitate to reach out!
