Long Time Ago: 1972 Chevrolet Vega GT

This next car is the Vega GT, which isn’t exactly the pinnacle of automotive things with the GT suffix attached to their name. In fact, I can think of a few Mountain Bikes named GT that are sportier than a Vega. Anyway, ticking the GT option box on your Vega order form in 1970s meant you got the RPO L11 two-barrel 140 engine, the F41 handling option, special tires and trim. It wasn’t a rotary, v8 or all alloy engine…but they are cheap on the used market today. Find this 1972 Chevrolet Vega GT offered for $2750 in Olympia, WA via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Looks like a half decent project, that you could have running like a top for under $4,000 total investment.
When it was introduced, I lusted after a Kammback GT, then I wised up.
Dated a girl in HS that had one. Everything worked fine.
In high school, everything works. What about the car?
