JDM Twin Charged: 1989 Nissan March Super Turbo

In 1989 Nissan Introduced a model that combined our two favorite methods of forced induction — supercharging and turbocharging.  Yes.  No longer will you need to argue with your besty about which method is best — now you can have your cake and eat it too!  Find this 1989 Nissan March Super Turbo offered for $9,200 in Bridgewater, MA via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

This is it.  The pinnacle of automotive boosting.  A car that finally combines the low end boost of a supercharger with the peak power of a turbocharger — if only it came with factory NOS.

The Super Turbo is powered by a 1.0 liter inline-4 that produces 110 horsepower…wait…seriously?  All of that lead up for 110 horsepower, or what any decent 1.6 liter naturally aspirated engine from the same decade?  It should make some serious torques, but if I’m going to build a super-turbo engine it better make some serious 300 horsepower/liter or something.
