Honda Conversion: 1969 Austin Mini VTEC
The original Austin Mini seems to be a regular recipient of Honda VTEC power, probably because the original BMC A-series engines aren’t the most powerful things on the planet, and (more importantly) the little Honda motors just fit. Find this 1969 Austin Mini VTEC offered for an undisclosed amount of money, located in Pheonix, AZ via craigslist.
This Austin Mini has been given a cosmetic makeover via shaved trim and a set of wide fender flares. It looks pretty good, and the only problem is that the engine swap isn’t complete — the seller writes: what is left is exhaust, wiring hook up, brake lines, clutch lines, fuel lines, random heater hoses from radiator.
You are looking at a Honda B18C1 4-banger taken from a 3rd generation Acura Integra GSR that would have made 170 horsepower and 128 ft-lbs of torque before it was equipped with headers and various other hot rod parts. It should be properly fast.

the purist in me hates these. the rest of me wants one so bad. I also no I don't want to go for a ride in one until I have a whole lot more money in my pocket.
Speaking of which, wonder what sort of price they are hoping for.
Should be cheaper now unfinished hope that radiator is big enough to cool this lot's of work done lot's left also….But should be a blast when done.with huge GRIN upside…..!
