At first glance I assumed it was an error in the list. You know, one of those V4, new breaks, Camero style typos. The seller clicked the wrong box because there is no way that this has a manual gearbox. I’ve never seen an XJS with a manual. Did they even sell it that way in the US of A? Xjs was available with straight 6, but never with the XK. They used AJ6 and AJ16 later.
This is the unicorn’s unicorn. Brown, manual, coupe, 35 made. For comparison, Panoz built 176 AIV Roadsters – and when was the list time you saw one of those?
A red one of these with the 5 speed manual showed up at Lone Star Mercedes in Calgary, Alberta around 1995. It sat on the lot for a year, before being sent to auction. Very nice driver !
I’m the purchaser of this car. The seller is a crook. I can’t get the title from him. He advertised the car as running well, it doesn’t run at all with many problems. Looks nice in the pictures, but lots of rust.
