Hijetabusa Project: 1993 Daihatsu Hijet

The Daihatsu HiJet is Japanese built micro truck (and van) that has been a solid entry to the Kei-truck scene since its introduction in 1960. Daihatsu was on their 7th generation of the little 3-cylinder powered city-Truck by the time today’s example was released into the wild, but they were still designed with city transportation requirements in mind and a top speed that won’t make you happy on any modern highway. Unless you complete the Hayabusa swap that the seller has started. Which would probably only take a weekend or two. How hard could it be? Find this 1993 Daihatsu Hijet offered for $3,500 in Plant City, FL via the partsbook projecthellplace. Tip from Dave in Tampa.
