The R129 generation of Mercedes-Benz SL-Class roadster was a magnificent piece of automotive engineering when it was first released into the wild for the 1988 model year. The base chassis was a shortened W124 chassis, but it featured a variety of advanced features like active electronically controlled dampers, a pop-up roll bar, and seat belts that were integrated into the seats instead of anchoring to the floor and pillars. Finally, power came from a 5.0 liter M119 V8 that featured an alloy double overhead cam head, variable valve timing, forged connecting rods, oil squirters that cooled the piston/piston pin, and baffles inside the oil pan. The 1999 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Sport convertible in red exterior color with tan interior features a powerful 5.0 Liter V8 engine, producing more than 185 kW (247.9 hp). This classic car has 2 seats and comes with luxurious amenities such as leather seats, climate control, power windows, and a top, Bose, factory sound system.
