Half Car, Half Bike: 1984 Trihawk 304

I see a surprising number of those Polaris Slingshot 3-wheelers tooling around the streets of SoCal these days, and I’ve always assumed they are rentals, because who would pay $20k-$35k for a motorcycle that can’t split lanes. More importantly, who would pay that much money for a futuristic shaped 3-wheeler when you can get a vintage version with a Citroen 4-cyliunder for less than half the price? Find this 1984 Trihawk 304 offered for $12,000 in Los Angeles, CA via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Located on the Big Island in Hawaii. Titled and registered in Hawaii.
Perfect for the person who thought they had it all, but need more. This is a 1984 Trihawk as constructed by Performance Vehicles Inc. There were less than 100 built when the company was sold to Harley-Davidson and put on the shelf. The Trihawk is front wheel drive with the 1.3 liter air-cooled overhead cam 4 cylinder Citroen engine, a 5 speed transmission, front disc and rear drum brakes. A perfect fit to complete your vehicle, motorcycle or Harley collection?
It starts, runs well and goes thru all the gears, including reverse. Considered an autocycle or motorcycle depending on where you live.

The interior is nice and original. The front half of the Hawk was repainted many years ago, the back half is original paint, both could use a good buffing but look good for a daily driver. The original mufflers were replaced with stainless steel pipe with a similar appearance. The fiberglass body and steel frame are both in good condition with no indication of ever being damaged. Glass windshield is clean, the plexiglas side windows have a light spider webbing but are not broken. The convertible top is included and in good condition, but there are no side windows. New battery.
Although there is a new sending unit in the gas tank, the gauge doesn’t work. The odometer stopped working at 22,737 miles and it probably has less than 23,000 miles now. An electric fuel pump has been placed and the mechanical pump by-passed.

The Trihawk is currently titled in and located in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Shipping with MATSON to the west coast of the mainland will cost you around $1,500, just give them a call. Vehicle can remain at my house for up to 30 days after the purchase to allow you to coordinate shipping. If you have any questions or concerns with shipping please ask.
