Half Baked: 1993 Geo Metro

This next car comes from tipper ME (and Cory) who describes it simply as “speechless.” That is one way to describe it, but interesting is that the seller doesn’t say much about it in the description either. The only explanation is a vintage 93 newspaper clipping that explains some of the reasons behind hacking the top half off of a Geo. Find this 1993 Geo Metro offered for $3200 in Troy, NY via tracebook crazyplace.

“Are we going to have to wait until gas prices go to $5 a gallon before the build a high-mileage car?” It took 29 years but he’s still asking the right question.
And hey the guy did a helluva lot better than Homer Simpson did….

This would be awesome for selling bottled water and frozen treats out of those side bins. Or Thai iced tea, that would hit the spot.
I want to buy this to “race” on the salt at Bonneville Speed Week. I’d definitely have the longest time and slowest speed through the traps, but whatever. It has the look of an experimental and it’s already rusty, so what’s the harm in a little more salt?
No. He was completely baked.
