These things used to appear parked on public roads, squatting forlornly like beached whales — her oleopneumatic suspension having lost the good fight, but I haven’t seen one in years. I recognize this car, essentially from subliminal advertising. This car is at Omega Auto Clinic in Kansas, aka the Car Wizard’s (David Long’s) shop, aka Hoovie’s Garage’s (Tyler Hoover’s) main mechanic. There’s YouTube footage of this car if one is interested. As far as I know, it was never a Hoovie-owned car though.
As much as I ignore their antics and steer clear of their relatively empty content, the algorithm keeps shoving them in my face. I stopped viewing their videos long ago, but after seeing enough thumbnails, I recognize the shop and which cars in the background are Hoovie’s. Ugh, get out of my head. Not bad people, just a tired routine based on pouring stupid money into stupid cars and pretending to be broke.
Try clearing your search history and watch history regularly or they will keep appearing.
Something is seriously askew on the backend. The bumper doesn’t line up with the fenders and trunk lid. It’s the sort of thing that’s either easy to fix or an indicator of a seriously tweaked structure. perhaps someone tried to use a jack on it entirely ignorant of how to elevate a Citroën?
I’d love one of these but even I am too risk-averse.
Good catch on the tilted bumper. These are unibody and although fenders and doors hang on the body and can be adjusted, the bumper may indicate a bigger problem than a misaligned body panel. This is also NOT an automatic, just the standard column shift 4 speed with a clutch pedal. I’ve have 3 of these and sorta love good ones, this may have many hidden issues.

2. How much money should a potential buyer budget for carburetors that “need a little TLC” on a car sold by a mechanic?
1. Reckon that’s a speech-to-text-o for “Clean Kansas title”;
2. Few mechanics nowadays know much about carburetors in general anymore, let alone specific models of carb; this one might well reckon that anyone interested in one of these knows more (or knows how/where to find out more) about the carbs on this car than the seller cares to invest in researching themselves.
