El Chupacamino: 1985 Chevrolet Caprice Pickup
People always say that “children are the future,” but let me tell you, that is a load of horsepucky. The future for all of us is a one-size-fits-all pine box or an 1800 degree oven (aka Cajun burial), but before that, statistically speaking, you are a gonna spend some time reclining in a hospital bed while people prod and poke your internals. Then those worthless kids are gonna pull the plug on your atrophying corpse and start dividing your stuff into lots. To make things worse, children (yours too) are foolish and do really stupid stuff, just look at what this next kid did. He (she?) took a 1985 Chevrolet Caprice and turned it into some kind of El Chupacabra / El Camino custom, find it here on eBay
for $14,500 buy-it-now, located in Jacksonville, FL.
The next time Bono puts together a rock concert to save the children, just remember what they are capable of given enough time and resources. You’d like to think that all those saved children will be out solving cancer (BTW– it will be cancer that’s killing you in the above mentioned death bed scenario) but instead they will be building hideously deformed custom pickups.
On a positive note, it looks like JC Whitney made a few bucks on this thing, so with any luck that’ll help bolster the economy for this next quarter.
I don’t even know what to say about this. If you see another custom Hell Camino pickup…don’t email me, sent it to those other guys, they like that kind of stuff.
I know what to say to this.
If you're going to go through all this trouble to fabricate a custom El Camino, you had better damn well make a functioning tailgate. Otherwise, what's the point?
Think this is a kit. Vaguely remember it in a kit car mag from the mid 90s
This is almost everything wrong in a car wrapped up in one big smelly bundle. Only thing it's missing are some hideous chromed Chinese 22s and little rubber-band tires.
it is a kit

to be fair… it IS a way to salvage older cars that would otherwise disappear
though things like the belaro and tbird shoeboxes are a bit out of proportion

once upon a time i was drawn to them like a moth to a flame…. douse it fast!!
Excuse me while I whip this out…
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ – Funniest. Movie. Ever. I hope Mr. Brooks has one more movie in him. His genius is all encompassing.
