El Camino 6-Wheel: 1973 Oldsmobile Toronado

You want wild? The El Toro delivers. What started life as a simple Oldsmobile Toronado—already a weird and wonderful front-wheel-drive muscle sled—was transformed by one visionary grandpa with a cutting torch and some big block dreams. Around the late ’70s, he grafted the bed of a ‘69 El Camino onto the back and added a second rear axle (just a floater) for looks and utility. The result? A six-wheeled, dual-quad 455-powered land yacht that’ll confuse everyone. Find this 1973 Oldsmobile Toronado offered for $20K in Lansing, MI via facecamino toronadobook. Tip from Rock On!

So let me first off say my grandpa had built this back in the late 70s early 80s he used to haul his race car around. So I know it’s not everyone’s flavor but he had wild thoughts and designs. And this car is very well know around the Oldsmobile community. But it is a 1973 Oldsmobile Toronado that he mated a 1969 El Camino box on the rear axles are just floaters not drives. So it still has the front wheel drive 455. Starts absolutely great has a Offenhauser dual quad intake with twin 650s transmission shifts great. Drive anywhere you want to go! Power locks and windows still work interior is clean other than the rip in drivers seat. Paint and body work is decent shape but over the very long rear fenders you can see little bit of bondo waves. But over all presents itself very well! This car is a major conversation piece and gets attention everywhere it goes. Any questions just ask. No trades

Nice induction set up!
I was was thinking dual 650s was overkill, that works out to about 10000 rpm on a 455 with assuming no restrictions in the intake.
Yeah, overkill.
