DTO: Coupe de Camino: 1984 Cadillac Custom Pickup

Before viewing today’s next feature, you may want to put your wayfarers on ahead of time. This El Cadimino makes the absolute best use of some of the worst

Using the coupe instead of the sedan for a donor vehicle actually enhances the usability of the bed
because its a longer rear section and the rear roofline
creates a very natural Cadillac looking cab.  Not many of the original DeVille pieces remain on the underside of this El Caminallac and the mechanical parts are mostly from a 1996 Impala donor car.

The Coupe d’Mino is powered by a 5.7 liter LT1 V8 from a 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS that was rated at 260 horsepower and 330 ft-lbs of torque.  Performance from the Cadillac DeVillamino should be reasonable, but build quality on a custom Broughamino like this can’t be ascertained from photographs.  A proper test drive in this El Caminoville would answer all those questions…but…at the current asking price it would need to be really well built to be considered for Daily Camino use.
