Some poor guy in a VW Beetle is wondering where his air filter went.
Swear this car or similar made an appearance in an episode of CHiPs in the 70’s. 🙂
I think I remember that one. Didn’t somebody go to pass a car, and saw the front end of a car in the next lane, freaked out and caused a wreck?
Elmer Fudd wonders…which way did he go? which way did he go?
Gee you totally missed out on having this car in honor of Janus, the god two faced god of doors after whom the the month of January is named.
Of course the production car that honors doors and two faced design would have to be the Zündapp Janus. Truly mid engined BTW. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z%C3%BCndapp_Janus
Heckuva rabbit hole you sent me down there, Hugh. Much appreciated.
Amazed at the variant called the Dornier Delta. For 1955, a design that could be both an RV and a materials transporter, or could seat 4? And had a 300 mile range?
Mind boggling. Loved the pics in this piece- especially the RV version showing the entire interior as a bed for two! 😳
