Double Mack: 1959 Volkswagen Bus
The original Volkswagen Beetle “People’s Car” aircooled rear-drive platform was adapted over the years to just about every possible kind of vehicle, from the people hauling Bus/Van to the off-road ready Thing…but I don’t believe VW ever built a semi-truck version. Thankfully, we have hilly billies with welders to fix that mistake. Find this 1959 Volkswagen Bus here on eBay bidding for $4,088 reserve-not-met with 1 day to go.
From the seller:
1959 Volkswagen Bus Single Cab Custom Semi Tractor Featured in October 1977 Hot Rod Magazine. The bus is solid with minimal rust. One of the prior owners changed the paint scheme since the Hot Rod Magazine days but the interior appears to be the same. The rear tractor portion was set up similar to a Formula V Type with the engine in front of the transmission. The VW rolls and steers for transportation. Prior owner removed the engine for use in another vehicle and stored this custom VW in his garage for decades. Vehicle comes with a bill of sale and a clear title signed by prior owner on the buyer line when he originally purchased. Pics 1-5 of the exterior, the interior pics and the undercarriage pics shows its current condition. The location of the custom trailer in the pictures is unknown. This bus has loads of 70s history that can be followed on the VW Samba site:

Do I hafta ride the short bus?
Paging Hervé Villechaize, mr.Hervé Villechaize, Your macho tractor trailer is ready sir.
Do I need a CDL?
Yes, but only a tiny one.
That trailer is shagtastic.
Dang, I was so disappointed when I found out that the trailer was not part of the deal (and in fact it has gone missing). Sold for just over $6K, with no engine.
