Don’t Quote Me Boy: 1987 Renault GTA Convertible
When Kilo G rolled up on Eazy-E in a fresh El Camino and said “It’s all about making that GTA” I don’t think he was talking about Grand Theft Auto…and I think he was talking about the product of a Renault-AMC collaboration that led to sporty version of the Alliance called the GTA. Think about it — Boys of the Hood — just look at that hood, it is the flattest, most gangsta hood I’ve ever seen. And the lyricist even talks about his friend trying to steal his Alpine, which was the Renault Alpine GTA — a totally different car, but it all makes sense if you look at it from a 10,000 ft view. Find this 1987 Renault GTA Convertible offered for $3,800 in Sioux Falls, SD. Tip from Rock On!

1 of 1029 made so not many left, 1987 RENAULT GTA, CONVERTIBLE. No rust, newer top, a/c , cruise control, original paint, clean interior – seats dash etc. Glass is good. 4cyl, 5spd. Runs good. A/C works but needs to be converted R134-a. Top works good, radio works. For a car that’s 34 years old it’s in very good condition. Mileage shows 101,000 plus change. Was told it was towed behind a motor home and it comes with the tow bar. Give me a call six05-two10-2901, lets talk . Come look, bring cash. CALLS ONLY PLEASE. Clean title in hand.

Had a 1984 Alliance. First car I ever bought new, for the wife. Purchased on the strength of the Motor Trend Car of the Year pick. Threw a rod right through the block at 55,000. Luckily, there was a French mechanic in the neighborhood that had to have it anyway.
I’ll pour out a quart of 40W on my driveway for your dead homie.
Obligatory DT Dick Teague reference – he designed the interior.
